Join Missie for a Hand Stitching Retreat on Table Rock Lake near Branson, MO! This is the 3rd year for our retreats and we have a great time making new friends and of course doing lots of handwork of all types. Enjoy time away quilting, applique', wool applique', rug hooking, cross stitch...any handwork you enjoy!
Imagine enjoying a day of stitching together and then relaxing above beautiful Table Rock Lake near Branson, MO. Escape to this lovely penthouse condo and experience the ultimate retreat. This property offers a rustic, luxurious and unforgettable experience for you and your hand stitching friends! The lodge is conveniently located in Kimberling City, MO, 20+ minutes from Branson. There are restaurants within 5-10 minutes and a grocery store right across the bridge. Three quilt shops, a wool/punchneedle shop and a cross stitch shop are about 10-25 minutes away. It is also near Branson’s entertainment district, antique shops, Branson Landing shopping, lots of dining and outlet mall shopping!
This is the penthouse of the tall building seen in the photo. We will use the two identical condos next to each other on the top 2 floors with an elevator to get you there easily. Each condo has 6 (12 total) bedrooms with King beds and most have a full futon if you want to bring a friend and share the room. The condos are identical but there is plenty of room for all of us to spread out and gather for stitching and fellowship in one main room. We’ll have two tables with room for more if needed and a comfy living room with 6 recliners and rockers on the main floor. There will be plenty of room for all of us on the main floor or if you need a little quiet time you can move to the lower level or the second condo’s main rooms for a bit. We will have views of the beautiful lake and mountains around us! I grew up on Table Rock Lake and when I started having retreats, I wanted to share the beauty of this wonderful area. I’m so proud to show it off to all of you who join me in the retreats. I have learned from previous retreats, when we have a few rooftops in front of us we hardly notice them when we have the huge open sky, mountains and lake in front of us as the main attraction. It’s stunning country!
The kitchen has everything needed with a long countertop, island and all the kitchen necessities. I will provide a variety of breakfast offerings each morning. The other meals will be on your own. Branson has about any dining option you could desire if you’d like to eat out. If you want to cook or bring your own lunch or dinner there should be plenty of storage and space for meals. There is island seating as well as outdoor seating if the weather is nice.
12 bedrooms have a king bed similar to what is shown in the pictures. They may be configured differently or have different bedding, but they are all similar. Views will be different depending on each room’s location. Some may not have access to a deck, but a regular window instead. I assure you, most all of our time will be spent socializing in the main room! All of these bedrooms have a private bathroom. Some of the countertops are smaller, but all are very nice. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. The rooms are available as shared at $530 for each person or private for $580.
If you’d like to get a bit of activity there is a community fire pit, outdoor and indoor pools, pickle ball and basketball courts as well! The outdoor pool may not be open, depending on the weather.
If you are a local and want to be a day stitcher we’d love to have you! The price for day stitching is $350. This option is a separate product listing.
Bring some friends and let’s have a great time! Some of us are repeating our time together and bonding as stitching friends. There is room for more to join us and focus on friendship and inspiration! Any handwork is welcome! Quilting, cross stitch, wool applique, applique, knitting and more! Whatever your hands & hearts desire!
We’ll have 5 nights of relaxation and 4.5 days of stitching and friendship in this beautiful condo. Breakfast items and coffee are included as well as welcoming hors d’oeuvres the first evening. We find that folks love to make their own breakfast sandwiches so I bring a variety of items for that as well as yogurt, bagels, cream cheese, donuts, cinnamon rolls, muffins and other goodies. I provide coffee, creamer and sweetener for your morning wake up. All other meals will be on your own or we can order carryout for those who want to stay in. It’s a convenient option for some.
Feel free to bring some type of snack to share with others. What’s a retreat without tasty snacks? We play LRC for fat quarters if you want to join in. We’ll exchange pin cushions wrapped in a fat quarter if you want to participate and do a crafty activity together that I provide also. I bring along items from my online shop to add to your entertainment while in the condo as well!
At this time there are only 2 rooms left in the first retreat, both on the lower level requiring steps.

There are 4 options to reserve your space. 1) If you’d like to join us you can purchase the reservation now to reserve your room immediately to claim your spot! 2) I will send an invoice by email for payment plans that can be worked out if needed. If you'd like this option and can make the deposit payment now, please do so. 3) To save credit card fees on top of the reservation fee you can send me a check for the full amount by snail mail after a deposit of $100 is taken by credit card on the website to reserve your spot. I will refund the full deposit after the check is received. Once your reservation is received I will contact you to confirm your choice and add you to my list so please check your voicemails and emails for a message from me. I will also send this information as a PDF so you have it on hand.
Deposits and Reservations will be taken first come first served and are non refundable upon cancellation unless I can fill your spot. I will do my best to make that happen if needed. The more advanced notice, the better chance I have to fill it.
We've had a wonderful time at the previous retreats- We laughed and made great connections with others who love handwork as much as we do. I hope you can join us next spring and we’ll have a great time!
