This is for the 2026 Academy of Applique'. Celbration! is a 24" block. The fabric kit is $75.25 and includes the background and all the fabrics for the applique pieces, including the special broderie perse fabrics used to create some very unique qualities of the block. The fabric is shown in the images above. This project is for the block alone. You will have leftover applique’ fabrics to make more blocks or borders. At the Academy of Applique' I teach the Starch Basting techniques to make this block and finish as you wish. This block will be part of the quilt Early American Spirit which will be released soon. If you would like a different color background fabric, let me know and I can make the kit custom just how you will love it!
Thread kits are available for $68.50 and contain 8 spools of 80 and 100 weight poly threads and a few embroidery threads that will match the fabrics perfectly to aid in gaining invisible stitches.
Everyone who attends the class will get the lab kit for $24. You can go ahead and add it to your cart now if you want to pay for it now, or you can leave it out of your cart and I will have a bill waiting for you in class. The lab kit contains the pattern, preprinted templates on Traditional Primitives Ultimate Freezer Paper and 2 needles.
Extra fabrics are available for $13/yd if you feel you need some to complete a larger quilt. Send an email to TPQuilts@gmail.com and we can chat about which fabrics you like.
The other items in the drop down options to purchase are items I highly suggest you use for my technique. I will also have most there in class if you are unsure. Please let me know in comments or by email what extras you know you'd want so I am sure to bring enough.
All items ordered with this kit will be held and mailed to arrive at the Academy so it is there for you in class. If you want something in the order now, please make a separate order and we will ship it now.
If you do not want to make an official order now, but would like to pay for the items in class next spring, please email or call me and I will add your order to my list of items to have ready for you in the classroom and you can pay there. If you are not attending the Academy and would like this pattern or fabric kit, this is a presale and it will not ship out until after the event next March. It helps me to know how many kits to make at one time. The pattern option listed above will not have the extra preprinted templates. You will need to purchase Ultimate Freezer Paper along with it. Again, anything ordered with this kit or pattern will not ship until early March 2026.
