This pattern is for Part 1 of the 4 part pattern of Early American Spirit. This design is inspired by the strength and spirit of the early settlers of out great country, The USA! The blocks have names that describe the feelings and experiences they may have had as they worked to build everything about our country from the beginning with their bare hands. Such strong spirits they must have had to endure all it took to survive and thrive!

The pattern is available in several options currently. The entire pattern for what you see in the image for part 1 includes all patterns and templates needed. The instructions for the larger, 24" block are very detailed for applique with a prepared edge. The patterns for the 12" blocks surrounding the large block are less detailed and contain only templates for you to make them in any way you'd like. For example- applique, hand or machine piecing with templates, or English Paper Piecing. Choose the 1st option for this version. If you need more detailed instructions for the 12" blocks, choose the 2nd option which will have more info for piecing each block.

If you have previously purchased the pineapple Celebration block you can choose the 3rd option, which includes templates for the 12" blocks only, or the 4th option which will be more detailed options for the 5 blocks only.

Kit options are also available. One for the entire Part 1 and one for the 12" blocks only if you have already purchased the kit for the pineapple, Celebration! block.
