This pattern is for Part 1 and 2 of the 4 part pattern of Early American Spirit.  This design is inspired by the strength and spirit of the early settlers of out great country, The USA!  The blocks have names that describe the feelings and experiences they may have had as they worked to build everything about our country from the beginning with their bare hands.  Such strong spirits they must have had to endure all it took to survive and thrive!

This quilt will be about 95" when complete.  It will have a border print surrounding the center, followed by a simple pieced or appliqued border.  The quilt will be released this year in 4 parts. Each segment in the center will finish at 36".  The border pattern will be included in the last part.

The pattern is available in several options currently due to the fact that I've taught the large blocks of parts 1 & 2 at events the last few years. If you've purchased the Pineapple or Eagle block pattern previously, you only need the 12" block set to complete Part 1 and 2 of the larger quilt.  If you are starting from the beginning, you'll need the full set of patterns for each part.

The patterns for the 12" blocks surrounding the large block are less detailed and contain instructions for how Missie made the blocks, but they can be made using any technique you prefer like applique, hand or machine piecing with templates, or English Paper Piecing.

Fabric Kit options are also available.  One for the full Part 1 or 2 and one for the 12" blocks only if you have already purchased the kit for the pineapple or eagle blocks previously.  **The fabrics you see in this picture are examples only.  The actual kit will have similar fabrics that will give you the same look.  Reach out if you have questions.  TPQuilts@gmail.com or 515-321-3163
