Sweet Lyla Pre-Sale

Sweet Lyla is one of my classes for the 2027 Academy of Applique.  See AcademyofApplique.com for more details about the wonderful hand applique' event.  

This 20" block is a beautiful spring design full of lovely colors, inspired by my latest granddaughter Lyla, who was born on Mother's Day!  Make 1 block for a small quilt, add a border, make multiples or choose the alternate option for the 36" block as well!  (The 36" block shown here is a digital image and the fabrics in the kit will be the same as you see in the smaller block.

If you are in my class you can pre-order your items now and I will have everything ordered in the classroom waiting for you!  If you are not in my class, you can order the items and we will ship them after the event is over the first week of March 2027.  Please leave a comment at checkout to let me know if you are or are not in my class so I know where to ship it.  If shipping to the event, I will change the address...you use your address at checkout.  

The class lab kit for the 20" option is $19 or $24 for the 36" option and includes the pattern, pre-printed templates on our Ultimate Freezer Paper, a few of our own quality needles to try as well as the ability to try different threads I love before you buy.  The optional fabric kit for the 20" block is $68 and you will have a wide variety of 33 fabrics.  If you choose to make the 36" block with the star in the center, the fabric kit is $88 and includes 36 different fabrics the same as the 20" block with a few additions.  Both kits will have leftovers to help with an added border or extra blocks. The background I used is a taupe tone that has a slight greenish cast.  Quantities of this background are limited and orders will be filled as they come in.  Class participants will get first dibs and I will reach out if it is no longer available.  You may choose a different background fabric- reach out and I can send pictures of what I have.  The wide variety of fabrics is what gives this design such an interesting look!  Extra background fabric for multiples or border is available for $13.50/yd.  Thread kits are available for $43.50 and contain 9 poly and silk threads that are 80 & 100 weight.

If you are in my class you do not need to purchase a pattern or templates separately as they come in the required lab kit.  If you are NOT in my class please choose the option for just the pattern and optional pre-printed templates, not the lab kit.
