Wooly Block Adventure- National Sewing Day!- Front Porch Holidays

My Woolie porch has an antique sewing machine adorned with a pretty topiary tree with a flag. National Sewing Day is in June each year.  What better summer decor than a flag!  The door has a cute little garden flag celebrating National Sewing Day! Don’t be intimidated- because you can stitch the flags with ease…just a few lazy Daisy flowers and stem stitch letters.  (You could even print it on cotton if you want to do it quick and then just stitch the flowers.)  If you change the words on the banner to USA or Celebrate 250 you have a little patriotic in this project!

The fabric kit will contain the homespun background and woolens used on the block.  It also contains preprinted Transfer Eze for both the National Sewing Day writing and the iron decor over the door.  This will make stitching these parts so easy. As an add on, we included finishing instructions for a small scalloped border.  Notice the photo with the scalloped border added as well as the mock up quilt I've made using the tracing tool and the blocks released so far to make the scalloped background.  Add a piece of teal wool from the list above to use for this border and backing should you choose to finish it this way.
